Gordon Ramsay confirms CCTV footage after claims dog pooed in his restaurant
Gordon Ramsay has defended his restaurant after a woman claimed his staff did nothing after a dog allegedly pooed in the middle of the dining room.
Last week, influencer Gizzelle Cade took to social media to claim she’d had an awful experience dining in the TV chef’s Street Pizza restaurant in London.
‘I want to tell you guys: never come eat here,’ she said in the video, branding it ‘hell’s kitchen’ in reference to his hit competition show.
She went on to claim another diner had got out a puppy pad mid-meal and allowed their dog to pee and poo, with none of the staff intervening.
Gordon, 59, has now hit back against the claims, stating he has seen the CCTV footage and ‘under no circumstances’ did the dog make a mess.
‘Over exaggerated as always,’ he told TMZ, thanking the interviewer for their ‘honesty’ and asserting that dogs are ‘welcome outside’.
Gizzelle has not responded to Gordon but has posted several videos about the situation after her original video did over 15million views on TikTok.
The American content creator claimed she complained to staff – including a manager – however, nothing was done.
She claimed she had pushed to get the 15% service charge removed, which has become increasingly common in London, but did pay for the full bill for her family.
In another video, she stated the dog had been licking the tables while in a stroller and the owner was actively ‘encouraging’ it to ‘relieve’ itself.
Gizzelle then claimed she had clashed with the owner who argued the dog was ‘no different’ to her newborn and had been moved to a different table by the staff.
She also posted a video of the dog standing on the puppy pad, but it did not appear to be soiled.
Reportedly, Gordon did respond in a swiftly deleted video, which included a note saying they were proud to be dog-friendly.
He apparenlty posted another video, which the influencer branded ‘beyond appalling’, in which he joked about selling dog nappies.
Metro was not able to verify the existence of that video, and Gizzelle herself admitted she had not seen it, despite responding.
