Lee Andrews accused of fresh scam with fans just days after prison release

Katie Price’s husband Lee Andrews has found himself at the centre of yet another social media controversy just days after being released from prison in Dubai.

The self-proclaimed millionaire, 43, who only recently returned to Instagram after a month behind bars, has been attempting to reinvent himself with a string of personalised video messages apparently recorded for fans.

But many believe there may be something suspicious going on.

Lee shared a birthday greeting on Instagram addressed to a woman called Donna, whom he referred to as ‘Wolfie’, claiming that her friend Megan Rose had reached out requesting a special message.

‘Now Donna, I don’t know how old you are. You can’t be as old as me. I had a tough paper round, and that’s why I look old,’ Lee joked in the video before wishing her a happy birthday on behalf of himself, Katie Price, and her friends.

He also revealed he had received several other requests.

He said: ‘Don’t usually do Cameos, so I don’t know how it works, but I’m glad to do it.’

The video appeared to suggest Lee had already begun monetising his newfound notoriety following his release from Dubai’s notorious Al Awir prison.

He seems to be using the term ‘Cameo’ to describe posting videos requested by fans, possibly in exchange for money, not as a reference to the site itself, on which he does not yet appear to have an account, though he said he’d be setting one up soon at Katie’s suggestion.

However, a TikTok creator investigating the clip claims things may not be quite as they seem.

According to the social media sleuth @Camillarhuda, she contacted one of the women tagged in the birthday video to ask about the Cameo-style message. The woman allegedly replied saying she had never requested a video from Lee and had never even heard of him.

The claim has prompted fresh speculation online, with some questioning whether Lee accidentally tagged the wrong person or whether the birthday greeting was intended to create the impression there is significant demand for his personalised messages.

At the time of writing, there is no evidence that Lee deliberately misled followers, and it remains entirely possible that a tagging error or misunderstanding is responsible for the confusion.

Still, the latest claims have only added to the growing list of questions surrounding Katie’s fourth husband.

Lee has rarely been far from controversy in recent months.

After disappearing from public view last month, he was later found to be in prison in Dubai. Following his release, he returned to social media with an extraordinary account of events, claiming he he had been ‘kidnapped at gunpoint’, ‘slapped around’ and falsely accused of espionage.

Dubai authorities have disputed suggestions he was detained over spying allegations, previously describing the matter as a private civil dispute.

Court documents later revealed two outstanding legal cases against Lee, including an alleged £54,000 debt linked to a rental car company and a separate claim for approximately £15,000 in unpaid legal fees.

Since returning online, followers have also become fixated on another mystery: his hair.

Everything Lee Andrews has been accused of since marrying Katie Price

Misleading claims of being a multi-millionaire business owner

When Katie named Lee as her new partner, he was selling himself as the CEO of Aura Group Future Urban Travel 2027 and an ‘investor in SpaceX Hybrid Fitness’.

His profile, which had 111k followers, was littered with photos of the entrepreneur in the gym and enjoying the high life in Dubai - also appearing to rub shoulders with Elon Musk and Kim Kardashian.

However, it was all later exposed as a farce - with no information about his company on its website, and his snaps with celebrities appearing to also be AI-generated.

Being banned from leaving Dubai

After meeting and marrying her new husband in Dubai, it came time for Katie to fly home to the UK – however her husband was unable to join her.

This was due to the fact that he’d allegedly served time in Dubai’s Al Awir central prison for suspected fraud, for allegedly taking out a £200,000 mortgage in his ex-girlfriend's name without her knowledge.

The UAW bans people facing criminal investigations from leaving the country, however Lee denied he was unable to return to the UK and said there must be some ‘wrong details’.

However, Katie later confirmed he was subjected to a ban, but didn't clarify why.

Teasing a fake pregnancy

Just a few weeks into their relationship, both Katie and Lee teased they were expecting a baby. After Katie declared she was 'having his child' Lee wrote they were a ‘perfect couple soon to be triple’.

At one point, the mum of five even urged her followers to pay £2.99 to find out the results of a pregnancy test.

Despite the attempts to generate publicity, she then confirmed she was not pregnant.

Scamming a string of women

Days after Katie and Lee tied the knot, two of his exes accused him of being a 'liar, narcissist and manipulator'.

Two months later, it was then reported he'd been begging women for money weeks before he married Katie.

His ex Alana, then shared a post on Instagram calling him the ‘Tinder Swindler’ and claimed multiple women had contacted her saying he’d tried to scam them out of money too.

'Ghosting' his wife

After Lee failed to return to the UK last week, Katie revealed she had concerns he'd been kidnapped and then reported him as a missing person.

However, it was then reported that Lee had actually ‘ghosted’ his wife and was ‘squatting in a slightly run-down villa’ in Dubai and using a burner phone.

The Sun claimed he was ‘frantically planning a route out of this ginormous hole he appears to have buried himself in’.

Lee reappeared sporting what looked like a dramatically thicker and darker hairstyle than before his imprisonment, prompting widespread speculation online.

The debate intensified after claims emerged that he had recently visited a Dubai hair clinic to enquire about a permanent wig before allegedly deciding not to proceed.

Now, alongside questions about his legal troubles and his latest look, social media users are attempting to work out whether his apparent new side hustle is exactly what it seems.
