Last night, Brooklyn Beckham dropped the bombshell we’ve all been waiting for and revealed his side of his feud with his family.

Rumours of a rift between Sir David and Victoria Beckham and their eldest son have been bubbling for a year, with his marriage to Nicola Peltz seemingly at the centre.

We’ve had no official word from either side (until now) but Brooklyn’s notable absence left many wondering what on earth was happening.

That is, until Brooklyn posted six Instagram stories, simply written in white text against a black background, containing accusations of ‘bribery’ and of an ‘inappropriate’ wedding dance.

A collective gasp was let out, and it turns out celebrities are just as shocked as the general public over the drama unfolding.

Vogue Williams was all of us when she shared a story of herself with her hand over her mouth, declaring she was ‘shookETH’.

‘I mean will never sleep again,’ she joked. ‘I can’t sleep now I have to stay up and see what the Beckhams respond. Brooklyn’s stories. I cannot believe this.

‘Wow. My mind is blown. Oh my god. This is very sad, of course, I do love the Beckhams and it’s always sad to see that happening.’

She teased that she would be discussing the drama further on her podcast My Therapist Ghosted Me, and in a silver lining, added: ‘There might be a spot for me at Christmas yet though.’

Lily Allen added her thoughts in the most Lily Allen way possible — posting her West End Girl album cover with Brooklyn’s face instead of hers.

The hot sauce salesman could be seen sporting that iconic blue polka dot puffer jacket in the style of artist Nieves González.

Meanwhile, comedian David Baddiel shared the one thing haunting him about Brooklyn’s statement was ‘the notion of his mother dancing *on* him’.

West End Boy 🤷🏻 @brooklynbeckham has finally spoken out after years of alleged feuding between him and his family. In the statement he posted to his Instagram story, he said he didn’t want to “reconcile” with his family, who he says have “controlled narratives in the press” and tried to “ruin” his relationship with his now-wife, Nicola Peltz. @lilyallen posted a picture of Brooklyn superimposed onto her latest album, West End Girl, after he broke his silence. #LilyAllen #WestEndGirl #BrooklynBeckham #NicolaPeltz #celebrity #influencer #Brittok #UK

Tamara Ecclestone had some other thoughts, though (Picture: Instagram)

He said he remained ‘confused’ before quipping: ‘The whole thing is very Oedipus Becks’.

The drama was discussed on ITV’s Good Morning Britain, with Susanna Reid saying: ‘It’s utterly tragic, and the accusations are so damning, it is hard to see them coming back from them and repairing them.’

Kate Garraway replied: ‘It isn’t the brand, is it? It’s the family life that breaks my heart. It’s horrible.

‘The little moments where they’re learning to walk and you’re giving them a cuddle and putting them to bed. It feels so sad.’

GK Barry brought her usual humour to the topic, saying ‘I know it’s pure panic in the Beckham household tonight.’

The I’m A Celebrity star joked that ‘Victoria’s turned to the wine even in dry Jan[uary]’ and she said she would be ‘sat waiting’ for the Beckhams’ reply.

In a crossover we didn’t know we needed, former X Factor star Cher Lloyd commented on GK’s post, stating she was ‘speechless, babes’.

Even Piers Morgan has had his say from his hospital bed after recovering from hip surgery, declaring he ‘didn’t think anything could be more excruciatingly embarrassing’ than his restaurant accident.

Then continued: ‘But the Beckham family saga has managed it! What a repellent bunch of fake, narcissistic PR-obsessed twerps.’

Tamara Ecclestone gave a much less verbose insight, simply writing that ‘recollections may vary’ on her Instagram story.

A more shocking response Rebecca Loos weighed in after a fan suggested she might be feeling ‘a source of extra validation’.

She previously alleged that she’d had a four-month affair with Sir David, while she was working as his personal assistant, in the only other major scandal the family has faced.

Rebecca wrote: ‘So happy he is standing up for himself and speaking publicly finally!!!! I have felt so bad for his poor wife, knowing too well what they can be like!’

‘The truth always comes out ❤️’, she added in another comment.

Sir David and Victoria are yet to publicly respond to their son’s statement but everyone, much like GK Barry, is ready and waiting.
