Holly Willoughby’s last remaining TV show taken off air in ‘another disappointment’

Holly Willoughby’s ITV show, You Bet! On Tour, will not be returning, marking her final onscreen project to come to an end.
The former This Morning presenter, 45, exited the daytime talk show after over 14 years in October 2023 as viewers waited to see what her next move would be.
However, the past two-and-a-half years have proven turbulent for the TV personality, with her long-running gig co-hosting Dancing On Ice with Stephen Mulhern also ending after almost two decades.
Meanwhile, her attempt to break the Netflix market fell flat after Celebrity Bear Hunt, which dropped a group of celebrities in a rainforest with Bear Grylls, also failed to get that all-important renewal.
Now, her final TV job as co-host of ITV’s rebooted and rebranded You Bet! On Tour (which launched in 2024) is also halting, leaving her without any projects currently lined up.
An ITV spokesperson confirmed to Metro: ‘You Bet! returned to ITV in 2024 with a peak overnight audience of 4.4m. Both You Bet! and You Bet! On Tour are available to watch on ITVX.

‘There are currently no plans for a new series of You Bet! On Tour.’
Although Holly only featured as a ‘celebruty guessing’ panellist in the latest season due to other filming commitments, there had reportedly been hopes she would return in a full-time capacity if the reboot had been renewed for a third season.
An insider told The Sun: ‘This will be another disappointment for Holly as she was so closely associated with the show and this was her first new, big project with ITV after she left This Morning.
‘But put together with the fact that Dancing on Ice and Celebrity Bear Hunt weren’t successes, it’s not a great look for Holly, who’s always been talked about as TV’s golden girl.’

Although co-star Stephen is still juggling various shows, including Catchphrase, Deal or No Deal and Accidental Tourist, Holly’s calendar is looking decidedly empty as of right now.
There’s no word on what she’s eyeing next, although her name has cropped up in discussions about who will take over from Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly to host Strictly Come Dancing.
After years of hosting the on-ice counterpart on ITV, it certainly wouldn’t be out of the realm of possibility that the BBC snap her, and her wealth of experience, up for the coveted role.

The media personality had also been taking some time away from the spotlight to focus on her family after a a terrifying plot to kidnap and murder her was uncovered.
Ultimately Gavin Plumb, 36, was arrested and sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum term of 16 years.
In September, it was reported that this stalwart of British TV was planning a major ‘TV comeback’, looking to go solo after years in a double act.
Together with her TV producer husband, Dan Baldwin, she’s reportedly aiming to make the leap from daytime to primetime TV.
‘She and Dan both know she has what it takes to go solo in a primetime evening slot, and they plan to make her the biggest female presenter in the UK again. Together, they are a force to be reckoned with,’ a source told The Sun at the time.
You Bet! and You Bet! On Tour are available to stream on ITVX now.
