Another Strictly star confirms EastEnders role after La Voix announcement
Just days before La Voix makes her presence felt in Walford, another star of Strictly Come Dancing has appeared in EastEnders.
Earlier this week, Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) oversaw a sober salsa class in the community centre, encouraging her friends and neighbours to show up for a fun afternoon full of dance.
At first, it looked like few were going to attend – that is until Max Branning (Jake Wood) worked his magic, bring along various Square favourites, meaning that the class could go ahead.
Dance instructor Fabia was told to get the party started and thus the music – and the dancing – commenced!
If you recognised Fabia then you’re no doubt a fan of Strictly as the character was played by none other than Jenny Thomas, the dance programme’s very own salsa and Charleston choreographer, who often appears in the weekly VTs to discuss the technique and skills required of the particular dance styles.

Taking to social media to confirm her Albert Square appearance, Jenny wrote: ‘Yes I was actually on Eastenders this week!
‘Had an absolute blast playing Fabia the salsa instructor. (No lines, but “on screen specialist”)
‘Thank you to @bbceastenders for the opportunity. Loved every minute.
Thanks to @mrjakewood@kelliebrightofficial for making me feel so welcome and reminiscing Strictly days!’
The scenes in question took place across two episodes. Linda and Max were the perfect characters to take centre stage since stars Kellie and Jake took part in Strictly in 2015 and 2014 respectively.
Both EastEnders icons famously wowed fans with their routines, with Jake’s Salsa and Kellie’s Star Wars-themed Movie Week Charleston among their best offerings during their time on the BBC dance competition.
Jake was eliminated in the semi-final of his year, much to the shock of audiences, while Kellie made the final, achieving two perfect scores in the process.
And the Strictly EastEnders crossover will continue next week with La Voix, who competed in the ballroom and Latin competition series last year, appearing as herself during Pride.
EastEnders airs Mondays to Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One or stream from 6am on BBC iPlayer.
