Coronation Street ‘confirms’ who will save Sarah from prison nightmare

Sarah Platt’s (Tina O’Brien) relationship with copper Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) is being used against her as she remains trapped in prison in Coronation Street.
The character was sent behind bars earlier this year after DS Lisa Connor-Swain (Vicky Myers) secured enough evidence to prove that she killed Theo Silverton (James Cartwright).
While she’s been in prison, Sarah has been getting to know fellow inmate Kacey.
The woman told her in today’s episode of the ITV soap that her son has been arrested for armed robbery, and she wants Kit to help them.
Sarah said that she wasn’t able to ask Kit, which led to her seeing a very different side to Kacey.
Also in the instalment, Sarah was visited by Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce), who was back in Weatherfield after spending time abroad.
Prior to leaving, Todd and Sarah’s friendship fell apart because he had discovered that she killed Theo, and robbed Todd of the opportunity to see Theo face police consequences for abusing him.
Even though Todd was behaving a little differently around the likes of Mary Taylor (Patti Clare), George Shuttleworth (Tony Maudsley) and Christina Boyd (Amy Robbins), the trip away did him some good, as he decided to make amends with Sarah.
Todd’s decision to move on left Sarah completely relieved. However, that sense of comfort didn’t last for long.
Kacey’s threat about not protecting Sarah if she didn’t help left her in an impossible position. During a phone call to Todd, Sarah updated him and knew she’d be taking a risk if she told Kit, or any other police officer, about what Kacey had said.
Todd told Sarah that if she doesn’t talk to Kit, he will, but could he just make things worse?
Or will he save Sarah from a potentially very dangerous woman?
