The Blame fans think they’ve caught the killer in Michelle Keegan’s ‘gripping’ new drama
Just one episode into ITV’s new steamy drama The Blame, fans reckon they’ve sussed who the killer is.
The Blame stars Michelle Keegan and Douglas Booth as two detective inspectors on a small-town police force where secrets, suspicion and systemic corruption run rampant.
The series began on ITV1 last night, and fans already think they’ve cracked who the killer of 16-year-old Sophie Madsen is.
After a few instances of ‘behaving suspiciously,’ viewers are ‘convinced’ that the culprit is Douglas’ DI Tom Radley, Keegan’s partner and romantic interest.
‘I’m hoping Tom isn’t involved cos he seems to be trying to distract all the time,’ deadstar37 theorised on X.
Debbiablackma14 added: ‘I was convinced it was Tom but with five episodes to go surely it’s too obvious now.’

They also posted: ‘I’m convinced it’s actually Tom who is the bad guy here and involved in all this.’
RyanSoapKing25 thinks he has ‘definitely done it’ and that he looks ‘guilty as hell,’ while AprilQuinn2x is convinced Tom is ‘not as good as he made out.’
‘Halfway through the first episode of The Blame on ITVX and I’m already convinced Tom is the killer I’ve decided and there’s no changing my mind now,’ OnMyRadarX added.
Several fans also took to social media to praise the show, hailing it as ‘gripping’ and ‘compelling.’
Dontyouknowemma thought: ‘I only intended on watching the first 2 eps today but I’ve somehow ended up bingeing the whole of #TheBlame on itvx.
‘I got hooked; I’d think I knew where it was going then a twist would throw me. Entertaining & compelling, but also upsetting that so much of it is not fiction.’

Tellychat1 added that it was ‘great to have Keegan back on our screens’ in her return to acting after giving birth to her daughter, Palma.
‘Impressive first episode. Michelle Keegan does nothing wrong. She is a national treasure,’ Pirwany posted.
Speaking to Manchester Evening News, Keegan revealed how her dad helped her get into the mindset needed for her role.
‘My dad was in the police force since he was 17,’ she began. ‘He was an inspector, so I used to go to him and go, “Dad, what do you think about this?” and when I was doing like the meeting scenes like, “How would you talk to people in the police force and how was your body language?” and I used to go to him quite a lot actually for resources.’
She also had a lot of support from her co-star Booth, adding: ‘If I was struggling one day, which happened a few times, with my lines, because it’s very police terminology and you have to get it spot on every single time, he would always have my back, always.’
