Whether it’s a half-time pizza, picky bits in front of the TV, or late-night orders celebrating an England win, watching the World Cup is hungry work.

But with games kicking off at 10pm or later due to the time difference of the host nations America, Mexico and Canada, it makes popping to the shops for some last minute grub a little challenging.

Luckily, Asda has a solution to make sure we’re all ‘match ready’. The supermarket is extending delivery times in 188 of its stores across the UK.

Now, some branches will take orders until midnight, extending the regular cut-off time of 10pm by up to two hours during the World Cup.

It is important to note these extended hours are for customers ordering via Deliveroo, Just Eat and Uber Eats, not directly with the retailer.

Asda has launched an array of delivery-only offers for World Cup fans ordering late into the evening.

Deliveroo customers can enjoy two Exceptional by Asda pizzas for just £10, alongside discounted beer available with their order. Shoppers can also save up to 40% on selected soft drinks, party food and other match-day snacks.

Meanwhile, Just Eat customers can take advantage of 50% off selected 2L bottles of soft drinks such as Fanta Fruit Twist or Diet Coke.

Asda isn’t the only supermarket offering World Cup Deals.

Co-op is also extending its online opening hours across 180 stores from 10pm to up to an hour after the final whistle for all six group stage matches. This means some orders could be available as late as 3:30 am.

Morrisons is offering half-time oranges to kids shopping in store during the day of any England or Scotland group-stage match. The retailer is also giving away free hot and cold drinks to customers who visit its cafés wearing an England shirt until June 28 (with no minimum spend).

That’s not all, Morrisons More Card customers can take part of its ‘Big Match Sweepstake’ on the app until June 24. As soon as you enter, you’ll receive a free treat to collect in store and rewards such as vouchers, free cookies and fruit up for grabs further along the competition.

Then 10 of the lucky customers who get the winning country, will be entered into a draw to win one million More Points each, equivalent to £1,000 in loyalty rewards.
